Sunny Rhyl Sea Fishing Diary

Sunny Rhyl Allotment - 2008

01/06/2008

The chickens managed to get into the plot the other day!

The 4 of them spent many happy hours scratching and rummaging.

The biggest casualties were the tiny beetroot plants. Half of them had been destroyed.

A lucky escape though,

The Lettuce were left alone and continue to develop well.

A couple of Onions were dislodged, but re-seating them seems to have saved them.

The Squash and Corgette plants were left alone by the Chooks, no doubt because they are in a pittiful state. Not sure what the problem has been this year but it doesn't look hopeful.

Also left alone, the Sprouts and Cabbage are the stars of the show. All coming all really well.

Elsewhere, the Potatoes are looking healthy.

The Tomatoes are going great. Healthy growth and lots of flowers.

Whilst nipping out, I discovered the first Tomato of the year.

 Happy Days!!
