Kayak Spotted In Rhyl Harbour - 01/09/2006
Sinbad has spent most of life on or around the sea. On a recent wander around Rhyl Harbour, his eyes nearly popped out of his sea-faring head.......................
As he puts it................. " Staying at my Caravan every weekend during the summer is something I look forward to every day at work. The fishing is great, listening to the charter boats on my marine band receiver is fun, staring out to sea with my 20x80 binoculars is interesting, and my AIS Decoder connected to my laptop gives me all the information from the ships heading in and out of Liverpool. But with all this going on I still envy not being out on there doing my own thing on the water. Apart from our charter trips I don’t have the means to venture out to sea.
That was until I met Jason in the Harbour on his Kayak.
I listened eagerly to his talk of catching mackerel and the ease of kayak fishing on a Calm sea. Having done some canoeing years ago this was definitely a thing I am interested in.
The kayaks are just short of £500, even with the extra kit needed life jackets etc its still a cheep
way of getting out and about beyond the beachcasting limits.
"
As Sinbad is the gadget king, I am betting that he will be afloat again before very long. I will update accordingly......... |
