Kinmel Bay - 09/09/2006 |

Venue - Kinmel Bay Fished beyond The Perch on the Kinmel Bay side of the river on Saturday evening. Bass was the intended target. With a huge tide this weekend, we were hopefull of something from this low water mark. On a medium tide is is quite a trek to the water, but tonight it seemed like, and probably was miles to reach the waters edge. There were 5 of us out. Rick, Mark, Sinbad, Del The Tope and myself. We stopped halfway to gather some lug. There weren't many showing so we struggled to get enough for the session. Eventually we managed enough to see us through. Arriving at the mark, we spread out. Del fished close to the river outlet. He was plagued by weed. he stuck it out for an hour or so and eventually relocated further towards Asda. Sinbad was the man with the knowledge at this mark. He fishes it most weeks and rarely blanks, so he tells us :)
It was all quiet until low tide. No signs of any activity. Not a great problem as the sunset police had definately been doing there job tonight.
As the tide turned, we started to get the odd twitch. I started proceedings with a weaver. Rick, Sinbad and Mark followed suit, all catching a weaver as well.
Sinbad had a tiny Codling.
That was pretty much it. I had a few more bigger knocks that led to nothing.
The light was gone and the tide started to race in at a great pace so it was time for a sharp retreat to Sinbads caravan for a nice cup of tea. Happy Days!!!!!
