Sunny Rhyl Sea Fishing Diary

Kinmel Bay - 02/05/2007

Venue - Kinmel Bay
Tide - High
Time - Day
Bait: Fresh Lug

With the weather being so pleasant, I fancied a few hours on the beach pondering the issues of the day.

A splash and dash at Geoff's resulted in me going armed with 2 packs of nice looking fresh Lug.

I arrived dead on high water.

It was clear blue sky allround, with a very gentle easterly wind. With little colour in the wind, I was not expecting much more that a few hours of pleasant springtime sunbathing.

An hour after high, I had a definate double knock.

During retrieval, something broke the surface.

A 3 Bearded Rockling and a small Bass meant that I was not blanking today.

Another hour or so went by with nothing else to report.

I did find another Rockling attatched to my rig after my last cast.

Time to head home to celebrate my first 'shorts + t shirt' session of the year.

Happy Days!!
