Sunny Rhyl Sea Fishing Diary

Kinmel Bay - 03/03/2007 (am)

Venue - Kinmel Bay
Tide - High
Time - Day
Bait: Fresh Lug, Frozen Mackerel

Armed with my 15ft beachcaster and my little spinning rod, todays first port of call was Kinmel Bay. Arriving 2 hrs before high, it was an encouraging sight to see the surf rolling in.

I set up. For the beachcaster, it was a clipped down pennel loaded with freah Lug tipped with Mackerel and cast as far as I could. I attatched a 3 hook flapper to the spinning rod and baited up with Lug and Mack. This was plopped into the inner gulley a mere 20yds out.

The latest addition to the Kinmel coastline!

1hr before high, and a twitch on the spinning rod resulted in a small Flounder. Caught on Mackerel.

With the sun out for most of the session, it was a pleasant experience.

Next up was a decent Flounder. Again caught close in. This time on fresh Lug.

Shortly after high, I had another Flounder.

The beachcaster was quiet throughout todays session.

The final tally of 3 Flounder were all caught close in.

Happy Days!!
