Bait: Fresh Lug
I joined 'Notbad' Paul to fish Kinmel Bay over High water
I fished a beachcaster with a 1 up, 1 down rig baited with Fresh Lug.
Apparantly the annual Algae Bloom is in full flow. With a few days of onshore winds, it had turned the shoreline into a bubble bath.
The onshore wind was still present, a gentle surf was rolling in.
Dead on high, I had my first knock of the evening. No fish but a torn bait gave me hope.
After a further bite that led to nothing, my Warbird signalled another bite and this time it was fish on.
Unfortunately, I lost it in the surf without even getting a glimse.
I had one more good knock that again eluded me.
Paul had similar luck.
The sunset went someway to making up for the lack of fish tonight.
