Kinmel Bay - 20/03/2008 |
||
|
Venue - Kinmel Bay As I left the house, I knew that the wind was up. On arrival at Kinmel Bay, the lack of shelter from the North West mean't that it was going to be a full on, wind in your face sesion. Fresh Lug was used on my only rod. A 6oz gripper was called upon to try and combat the strong surf and wind.
First cast and my 3 hook flapper was washed back inshore in a matter of minutes. This really was going to be hard work.
Next cast, and after the rod and tripod had been blown over severel times, my rig again made its way back inshore.
A few more casts and the same again. With no chance of holding my bait out there and with the wind seemingly increasing, it was time to pack up and head home beaten but not disheartened. Taking in such bracing conditions really works wonders for the spirit. Happy Days!! |
