Bait: Fresh Lug, Fresh Peeler Crab
Driving to work this morning I spied 2 people fishing Splash Point over low.
It was a great Sunny Day and to see a few out at 6am got my mind out of work mode and straight into fishing mode.
I did a few hours but could resist the urge no longer.
Straight to Kinmel Bay via Geoffs Tackle.
I asked for 2 packs of Lug and 4 Peeler Crabs.
I walked out with a bonus 4 Softies that were given for free.
Top blokes!!!!!!!
So with the best bait this side of the Fforyd Harbour I felt that a couple of Schoolies could be on the cards.
My mind even flicked to the image of a shore caught Smoothound...........
Anyway, dream sequence over and it was back to reality!
Conditions were warm and calm.
2 rods were out but I was having problems with my Shakespeare Summit fixed spool reel. It was sort of ......knackered!
Retrieval was a major problem.
Luckily ( :) ) I didn't hook into anything to really test the bearings!
In the end, the Bass and Smoothies remained just a dream.
No bites and no fish.
