Kinmel Bay - 21/04/2008 |

Venue - Kinmel Bay After a really pleasant session earlier on in the day at Splash Point, it was calm and sunny conditions again at Kinmel Bay. I arrived 2 hrs before high with intentions to fish it up to high water.
The small hooks were kept busy. A Rockling fell to fresh Lug.
The conditions led to some great pondering! The sight of a Sparrow Hawk working the dunes was just eclipsed by seeing my first Swallow of the year.
Back to business and the Rockling were like busses. 2 more were caught again on the small hook/fresh Lug combo.
The 2 lessons learnt today were............... 1 - Getting up at the crack of dawn and heading down to the beach is not far from being a magical experience. 2 - Small hooks definately reduce the possibility of a blank. Happy Days!! |
