Kinmel Bay - 29/10/2007 |

|
Venue - Kinmel Bay A strong Westerly wind was to make today a windswept and interesting experience. It feels like, and probably is, months since I landed a fish from the shore. Kinmel Bay had produced well for me this time last year. I would be happy with anything today! I'd bought some fresh Lug and frozen Sandeel from Victoria Pier Angling in Colwyn Bay. This complimented a Mackerel from the freezer.
My hopes of fishing 2 rods were dashed the minute I had arrived. With such strong winds and churned up conditions, my spinning rod was just not up to the task. My trusty Fladen Warbird was kitted out with a 3 hook flapper with size 1's along with a hefty 8oz gripper. Fortunately, there was little weed about, so I was able to hold bottom.
I tried every combination of my available bait, but things just weren't happening for me.
I braved the conditions for 2 hours. No bites to report. The blanking continues!!!!! Happy Days!! |
