Project Chicken - Walls Come Tumbling Down! - 27/05/2007

"Give a Chicken a Chance"

After a week of being restricted to the confines of their 'run', the 4 lucky ladies had a big day today.

Having proven that they can make their own way back into the safety of their house at night and also taking a shine to the nest boxes, it was time to remove the fences.

With free range now a reality, it didn't take the girls long to explore all 4 corners of the back garden.

Early favourite places include under the bushes and especially the bare ground left by me cutting down an overgrown bush a few days ago.

It is heart warming to see them running about for the first time. 

Yesterday it rained all day. Again a first for them. They took great delight in having mud baths and got themselves into a right royal mess :)
