Fished Rhyl beach this evening for a few hours. Caught a 3 bearded rockling at low tide and a small codling 2 hours after low. Both first for me from the shore.
Again, the braid was on form. Had a big bite tonight that let go half way in. Eventually landed a crab, but I suspect something larger had both the crab and my bait in it's gaping mouth.(wll thats my story and I am sticking to it :) ) It was a fantastic sunset tonight.
On evenings like these, when you have miles of beach practically to yourself, it makes you realise exactly how lucky you are to have all this on your doorstep.
Mehmet and Hunter were fishing, they had 3 dabs and 3 whiting between them.
All 3 of us fished fresh lug.
