Bait: Fresh Lug, Frozen Mackerel
Having been given an all-day pass, I decided to head to the Foryd harbour
for a few hours
.
I arrived 3 hrs after high.
There was another bloke there. He was just setting up his Carp rod and was planning to float fish maggots! I gave him the benefit of my knowledge, along with a 3 hook flapper rig, some Lug and a 3oz weight.
The river is a bit snaggy. Having only fished it a couple of times in recent years, I wasn't sure where the snags + rocks were.
After 2 hours and with no bites between us, I decided that enough was enough. Time to head home and ponder a pleasant days fishing.
Next time I come here, I will be giving Maggots a try :)
