Sunny Rhyl Sea Fishing Diary

Marina Wall , Rhyl - 13/09/2007

Venue - Rhyl, Marina Wall
Tide - 1Hr after High
Time - Day
Bait: Frozen Lug, Frozen Mackerel, Frozen Prawn

I only had a couple of hours spare today, so I headed to the Marina wall for a spot of stress revieving pleasure angling.

Flounder and Eels were todays targets.

I had brought a small selection of baits from the freezer.

Similar to my session here last week, the crabs were stripping my bait pretty quickly.

Cast after cast, my hooks were coming back bare.

A pleasant and comfortable session, but no sign of any bites.

Of interest though, the Mullet were showing in great numbers.

They were everywhere!

The sizes varied from an estimated 1lb up to some good, broad fish that must have been 5lb plus.

I was chatting to Simon from Suveran who told me that he'd been replacing his mooring the previous day. Stood in barely a foot of water, he had been surrounded by Mullet, probably seeking cover from his boat.

Totally fearless of his activities, they were swimming around him and even between his legs!

Metal Guru !!!!!!!!!!
