Bait: Fresh Lug
Having a few hours spare this afternoon, I headed for Splash Point for a
bit of fun.
Using fresh Lug for the first time in ages, hopes were high!
I started out fishing 2 rods. The curse of my 'rotten line' struck again! The Ultima F1 snapped on an un-snagged retrieval. I decided to pack that rod away and continue fishing just the 1 rod.
Armed with the fresh Lug, I was using a 3 hook flapper with size 2 hooks. With the strong westerly wind, I was using a 6oz gripper.
With an empty beach, I was pleased to be joined by a small crab. Having clung onto my gripper for 80yds, he was obviously after making friends :)
All had been quiet on the fish front, so after a final cup of coffee, I was ready to pack up.
I reeled in my rig to discover a blank saving Rockling.
After a windswept couple of hours, it was time to head off home to warm my toes up!
