Sunny Rhyl Sea Fishing Diary

Bait: Fresh Lug, Frozen Mackerel

An early start at Splash Point mean't I had the beach to myself and with a nice surf rolling in, confidence was high.

There is something quite special about witnessing the sunrise in such an idealic place, so I spent a while pondering the moment when it arrived.

With 2 rods out, I had a 2 hook beaded paternoster fished at close range. Further out I was using a 2 up 1 down flapper.

Fresh Lug and frozen Mackerel were used in varying combinations across the 2 rigs.

The crabs were having fun! My bait was getting stripped pretty quickly.

I fished until 2hrs before high, but I didn't have a bite all day.

No complaints though!

A great sunrise and a few hours to ponder mean't I left a happy chappie!

Happy Days !!!!!!!!!!
