Venue - Rhyl, Splash Point
I obviously misread the tide tables as I was expecting to arrive dead on low water. As it turned out, it was 2hrs to low water!!! Not a real problem, just a bit confusing for a while :) I set up both rods. The 3 hook flappers were out again, so with 6 hookpoints, there was plenty of opportunity to try all the baits.
The sea was calm. There was a light westerly blowing. It was all quite for the first hour. The first knock went to the spinning rod at close range. A half decent Flounder eventually landed. Caught on fresh Lug.
Low water came and went without any further activity.
1hr after low, there was a little twitch on the beachcaster. Hard to tell if I had anything on until a nice Dab surfed in. Again, taking a liking to Geoffs fresh Lug.
Not much else to report except for a pin Whiting on my final cast. Again caught on the fresh Lug. There were 2 other people out today. The guy next to me had a Dab and the other had blanked when I spoke to him. Happy Days !!!!!!!!!!
