I joined 'The Rhyl Maestro' and 'Notbad' for an evening session fishing
infront of the old Marine Hydro.
With some great looking bait courtesy of 'Geoffs Tackle', 2 rods in action and fishing into darkness, I had instructed the wife that we were having fish for tea tomorrow night! .
I was fishing my 12ft Abu Enticer with Shakespeare Summit fixed spool reel alongside my favoured 15ft telescopic Fladen Warbird with an Abu Cardinal fixed spool reel.
I had ditched the blank saving small hooks in favour of 3/0 pennel rigs.
Things were quiet for the first few hours.
No bites between the 3 of us mean't that I had time to marvel at some Victorian architecture.
The tide was now pushing us back towards the wall and still all things were quiet.
Next up was the best light show that money can buy!
The Maestro and Notbad had similar thoughts to me.
After a brief timeout, it was back to the action!
Darkness fell and we ended up on the prom railings.
I had my first and only bite of the night.
A large bend on the Warbird followed by slack line made my heart miss a beat!
Sadly, my rig returned minus the bait and no fish.
Notbad and Mehmet did have a Rockling each under the cover of darkness.
With minor excitement allround, it was time for me to head home to relive the 'Slack Line' moment!
