Splash Point , Rhyl - 02/02/2008 |

Venue - Rhyl, Splash Point Driving along the promenade, I caught sight of 1000's of Seagulls scouring the recently uncovered sands. I'm assuming that yesterdays storms has dislodged plenty of food for them. On arrival at Splash Point, there was evidence of washed up Razor Fish. The theory states that with an abbundance of food, the fish are likely to come inshore in conditions like these. We'll see!!!!!!!!!!!!! The usual Frozen Mackerel and Frozen Lug were used on both rods. It was flappers and grippers all round.
Things were prety quiet, but with the wind on my back and no rain, it was great being out on another deserted beach.
Low tide came and went with nothing showing. Th weed started to become an issue, but it was still fishable. Just!
An hour later and still no interest. The weed had increased to the point where my grippers were only holding for a minute of 2 before being swept Eastwards with the incoming tide.
It ceased being fun at this point, so time to pack up and head home to watch Wales beat the English at Twickenham!!!!! Very Happy Days !!!!!!!!!!
