Bait: Frozen Lug
I intended to fish from low up. My plans were scuppered by an unplanned,
but equally welcome lie in.
I eventually made it to Splash Point 2hrs after low.
With just one rod and some refrozen Lug, today was about getting out there rather than an all out fishing assault.
Small sections of Lug were used on a size 2, 3-up flapper.
After last weeks storm, the wind had died down sufficiently for a 4oz gripper to be more than enough to hold the gear in situ.
The lack of knocks was outweighed by the pleasant conditions.
Not quite shirt sleeve weather, but as good as it has been for a long time.
I held out for a couple of hours, but it just wasn't to be.
Another wonderful few hours spent on a deserted Rhyl beach.
