Having spent the winter months planning and modifying his 'Frenzy' Kayak. This easter weekend was to be the first proper fishing expedition for HMS Happy Days! Sinbad managed to get out on the kayak over high water 2 days on the trot. On Friday, he anchored up in 15ft of water right by The Perch in Rhyl.
Lots of knocks throughout the session but just one fish landed. A Poor Cod.
On Saturday, armed with smaller hooks he headed to a mark that he had studied at low water. Sinbad fancied that a stoney bottomed gulley would be crawling with fish. Unfortunately it was not to be. A pleasant session but no fish.
In an attempt to shift the 'bottom cramp' caused by 8 hours sitting in a Kayak, Sinbad decided that on Sunday he would fish from Kinmel Bay beach. He joined Martin who had been putting in the hours over the weekend.
With Dabs, Flounder and Rockling already under his belt, Martin was having a fine weekends fishing. Sundays result was a blank for Sinbad but Martin had the nicest fish of the weekend. A Bass of about 2lbs.
Happy Days!!!!
