Splash Point Apartments - 12/09/2006

Most people that have visited Rhyl over the years would be familiar with Splash Point Hotel. It was a popular restaurant and watering hole for a long time. 

Memories of sitting in the beer garden enjoying a nice cool beer whilst soaking up the smell, sounds and dramatic views of the Irish Sea are things I will always remember.

The restaurant and bar closed about 5 years ago and had been left to decay until a local developer bought the site with plans to transform the location into residential apartments.

The build looks like it is nearing completion. 

I wouldn't describe the building as attractive, but what you are buying here are the views.

Overall, it has tidied up what was, in recent times, a run down, vandalised and unsightly building. 

I do feel sorry for the bungalows behind it though!
