As a follow on from Notbadlads observations in Rhyl harbour this week, where he witnessed 70 year old Nigel Worth from Ruthin, founder of Swazaid, rowing out of Rhyl harbour on route to London in an attempt to raise money and awareness of the plight of the orphans of Swaziland.
I am looking to see if anyone would be willing to support 'Swazaid' by attending an informal Fish and Meet. The venue would be Kinmel Bay over high water on Saturday, 29th September. With high water at 1320hrs, fishing 2hrs before to 2hrs after. It's a really big tide, so the potential from this venue is good. If I can blag any, there may well be prizes for the biggest fish. But for the moment, I'm just seeking confirmation of any interested parties willing to come along and fish a comfortable venue and meet other local anglers. If everyone attending made a donation towards Swazaid, we could collectively make a small difference to the lives of some desperately underprivilaged orphans. If you are not aware of the problems facing the people of Swaziland, here are a few brief stastics....... With a population of 1 Million, 100,000 are CHILDREN orphaned to AIDS. 40% of the population is HIV+ Life expectancy in Swaziland is 33! All we have to do is turn up and fish! Anyone interested? If so, please let me know by emailing fairziff@sunnyrhyl.co.uk or by phone on 07879681597
